Enter New Equipment
At any point the mobile user can create new equipment for the job site. Equipment is defined by the Equipment Type that falls into 11 categories as listed below. It is important to understand that Equipment Type is the ONLY field that you can NOT change once its been defined in the system. This is because the system uses the Equipment Type to set up equipment related fields specific to the type of equipment you choose. If you mistakenly choose a type of equipment that is not correct, the equipment wrongly labled will have to be deleted and the data lost.
Equipment can however be moved. It is relativly simple for the Contractor to moved equipment from one location to another as needed. At any point the mobile user can make edits to a piece of equipment using the Edit Equipment option found under the equipment menu.

Understaning Location Information
Location InformationThis section contains all information about the location of the selected piece of equipment.
TechnicianWho is the technician that entered the equipment. This should be set according to who did the onsite info gathering.
CustomerWho does this equipment belong to.
Job SiteWhere is this equipment located.
SuiteWhat suite is this equipment located in, if no suites have been established, select Default.
FloorWhat floor does the equipment reside on. Floors are established by the Job Site.
Area ServedWhat part of the building does the equipment served, this should be a brief description.
Unit LocationThis should be a brief description of where the unit can be found. Example might be “NE corner of roof”. (Do not show on Pump, CT)
Stat LocationWhere is the thermostat or controls located for the equipment. This should be a brief description. “West hall, south end” (RTU, CU/HP, AHU/FURN, UH/WH, FC/EF, Other, VAV)
Understanding Contact Info
CustomerThe related Customer name based on the assigned Job Site the equipment is tied to.
Job SiteThe related Job Site name and address based on the equipment is tied to.
Repair ContactThe name, phone and email of the Repair Contact. The repair contact is related to the Job Site the equipment is assigned to.
Understanding URL Links/Service Frequency
Tech Service History LinkThis field is provided to allow web users to paste a URL link into the box that will take the technician to any third party program that is used to access the service history of the equipment. This software is not related to Equipment Manager.
Tech Control LinkThis field is provided to allow web users to paste a URL link into the box that will take the technician to any third party program that is used to access a control link for the equipment. This software is not related to Equipment Manager.
Customer Service History LikeThis field is provided to allow web users to paste a URL link into the box that will take the technician to any third party program that is used to access the service history of the equipment. This software is not related to Equipment Manager.
Customer Control LinkThis field is provided to allow web users to paste a URL link into the box that will take the technician to any third party program that is used to access a control link for the equipment. This software is not related to Equipment Manager.
Coverage CodeThis is a code that can be used by the Contractor to tell the Technician how often the Equipment should be serviced. This code will show up on all QR Labels that are printed and posted on the Equipment.
Annual FrequencyThis is a code that can be used by the contractor to tell the Technician how often the Equipment should be serviced. This code will show up on all QR Labels that are printed and posted on the Equipment.
Unit Information It is important that you start with the Unit Information first as changing the Equipment Type from the preset AHU to another type will reload the page and if you start at the top, you will lose all your info. Equipment Type This field will define all the options on the edit equipment page. Changing this field will reset the page with the required options and you will risk losing any information. You need to make SURE that this field is set right before you begin setting up the equipment. Unit Make Who made the equipment. Manufacturer Date When was the equipment made. Unit ID This is what you will identify the equipment by in the system. The primary name of the equipment. Serial ID The Serial Number issued to the equipment by the Manufacturer. Control Type How is the equipment being controlled. This drop menu will allow you to select Thermostat, Pneumatic, DDC, N/A and Time Clock. Existing Unit This field will show up on the mobile, if the equipment had an old identification used by the Customer or if you had the equipment in a previous system and wish to store the old ID. Model No The Model Number issued to the equipment by the Manufacturer. Loto Required? Does the equipment require a Lock Out Tag Out in order to be serviced, if this box is checked a drop menu and Add LOTO button will show up allowing the web user to define a Lock Out Tag Out procedure and assign it to the equipment. LOTO will be defined in its own selection later in the guide. Equipment StatusThis is where you would identify if the equipment is Enabled or Disabled. Disabled equipment is flagged in the mobile as being disabled and is color marked as yellow in the equipment listing on the mobile.
Special InstructionsIs there anything that is equipment specific that the mobile user needs to know? If you add text to this box, the text will show up on a popup screen if and when the mobile user selects the equipment in the mobile. This would be where you would want to identify any additional breakers or obstacles related to this specific piece of equipment.
